A growing after-hours small animal emergency clinic is seeking a weekend vet to work at their practice in the beautiful Blue Mountains, just 90-minutes from Sydney.
The weekend vet roster would see the successful vet work Saturdays (12 pm -6 pm) and Sundays (10 am – 6 pm) plus on-call for in-patients on both Saturday and Sunday nights.
Patients hospitalised overnight receive designated nurse checks. Vets are on-call for the deterioration of a hospitalised patient. Patients requiring continuous overnight monitoring are referred.
Applicants must be comfortable with sole charge. The successful applicant will be supported by on-site vet nurses. There are other senior vets available for case support.
On-site accommodation and work vehicle are provided during the weekends worked. Assistance with relocation costs is also available.
The clinic is fully equipped for first-opinion emergencies, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, designated theatre, on-site pathology, infusion pumps and hospitalisation facilities.
