Are you an experienced veterinarian looking for a different lifestyle that offers adventure, great pay, and career progression?

A small animal vet is required at a well-established, progressive small animal clinic located in beautiful Central Queensland.

This role would suit a vet with at least one year of experience who is keen to broaden their clinical skills, take on interesting cases and work as part of a genuinely supportive team.

Flexible options are available, including a full or part-time role. 6 or 12-month fixed-term contracts will also be considered.

The successful vet will work in a well-established companion animal clinic with experienced vets, capable nurses and approachable leadership who are committed to collaboration, mentoring and professional growth. The role includes on-call work, shared across the team and supported by Vetriage to help filter calls and take deposits. This is a hands-on position where you’ll see a broad range of cases, manage them from start to finish and strengthen your diagnostic, problem-solving and practical skills in a setting designed to help you grow in confidence.

The clinic offers a salary package of $90,000 to $140,000 plus super, depending on experience, along with after-hours earnings on top of base salary and a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid after successful completion of probation. Relocation assistance is available, along with a shared rental house while you get settled and help secure longer-term accommodation. The employer also offers paid study leave, ongoing CPD support, in-clinic mentoring, case discussion and support for areas of clinical interest.

The employer is willing to assist with a work visa (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

Located north of Brisbane on the coast, this area boasts a relaxing atmosphere and everything from beaches to bushland and the perfect climate. It is close to good reefs for snorkelling and great fishing and diving spots.
