A well-established small animal practice in northeast Victoria is looking for a veterinarian to join its friendly and supportive team.
The clinic is growing and is excited to welcome a third vet into a close-knit team that values good medicine, genuine collaboration and balance outside of work. This is a great opportunity for an experienced vet. New/recent graduates with a strong willingness to learn and availability to start work in the next few months are also encouraged to apply.
You will be supported by two experienced veterinarians, along with a capable nursing and reception team. The practice uses a nurse-assisted consulting model, with each vet allocated a buddy nurse each day.
The caseload is interesting and varied across companion animal medicine, and an interest in dental procedures would be warmly welcomed.
This role would suit a veterinarian who enjoys teamwork, values strong client relationships and wants to work in a clinic where support, wellbeing and high-quality patient care are genuinely prioritised.
The role can be full-time (worked as a 9-day fortnight). Part-time hours will also be considered.
There is at least one weekday on call shift and one on call weekend shift per month. After-hours work is well supported by a triage service that filters calls and takes deposits, and on call is very well remunerated.
The clinic offers a welcoming workplace culture, encourages new ideas and continuous improvement, and places real importance on work/life balance. Lunch breaks are respected, and the team genuinely values wellbeing and professional respect.
The salary package is competitive and includes a generous base salary dependent on experience, plus a $10K sign-on bonus. Additional benefits include VSB registration and memberships support, VetEducation membership, one week of study leave pro rata for part-time vets, generous CPD allowances, five days of paid volunteer leave, paid parental leave beyond the government scheme, an employee assistance program with mental health resources, retail, travel and gym discounts, and staff discounts on clinic services for your own pets.
The employer is willing to assist with a work visa (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates with at least one year of clinical experience. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
