JOB NO: 212,886JCM

A beautifully and recently renovated practice in country New South Wales is looking for a vet to become the fourth in the team. Both new/recent graduates and experienced vets are encouraged to apply.

The experienced team of vets and nurses are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, compassionate, works well in a team and has a good sense of humour. They see a varied and interesting caseload and place an emphasis on providing high standards of care to their lovely, dedicated clients and patients. Vets at the practice have varying interests, from consulting and medicine to complex soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics.

The team aim to create a happy, safe and fun working environment with a great work/life balance. Full-time vets work a 67-hour fortnight with either a Monday or Friday off and 1:2 Saturday mornings, giving you a 3-day weekend every 2nd weekend. The after-hours work is minimal, and the roster is flexible, so if you have other commitments and are interested but would like fewer hours, they are happy to work with you to accommodate this.

Vets are supported by a great team of competent and friendly nurses. The practice is happy to support any special interests. They are also involved with the community, supporting local animal rescue groups.

In addition to a generous salary and relocation allowance, the practice will also assist with accommodation and contribute to continuing education. The employer has also indicated that there may be partnership prospects for the right candidate if desired.

For overseas applicants, the employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia. The practice would also be happy to assist with relocation, and a car and accommodation to help you settle in.

The practice is very well-equipped with all the usual toys, including digital xray, ultrasound, IM3 dental, orthopaedic kit, multiparameter monitoring equipment and IDEXX in-house laboratory, just to name a few!

The practice is located in an area that offers a wonderful lifestyle – spectacular scenery, national parks, walking trails, farmers markets, cafes, hatted restaurants and award-winning wineries at your fingertips! It has everything you need: great sporting, education and health amenities and facilities. All this is just a few hour’s drive from both Sydney and Canberra!
