A dermatology-only clinic in Melbourne’s north-western suburbs is looking for an experienced vet nurse to join their team. This role offers great work-life balance and a friendly, relaxed working environment.
Duties include consult nursing, surgical support, blood collection, sedation preparation, client education and owner training in at-home treatment protocols. You’ll also be involved in inventory management, medication ordering and maintaining a clean and well-organised clinic environment. Reception duties form part of the role, including managing calls, bookings and front-of-house responsibilities, so good communication and organisation skills are important.
Shifts are all between the hours of 8:30 am and 6:30 pm Monday to Thursday, with no weekend or after-hours work required.
The clinic sees complex, long-term cases, and you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients and their pets over time. This is a sole-charge environment, so the ability to work independently is essential. The clinic is focused on finding the right long-term fit and is not in a rush to hire.
This role suits a nurse with at least one year of clinical experience. The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, and salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
