An exciting opportunity is available for a veterinary nurse to join a practice on the east coast of the North Island.

This is a full-time role with flexible working arrangements. The position involves 40 hours per week, plus occasional Saturday shifts and weeknight on-call, shared on a rotating roster.

As part of the veterinary team, you’ll provide compassionate, expert care to patients, including administering medications, monitoring anaesthesia, and supporting surgical and hospitalised patients. You may also conduct nurse consultations independently and assist in surgeries to ensure smooth procedures.

In your new role, you will guide pet parents by explaining treatment plans and post-care advice clearly, and share your knowledge to mentor team members. Additionally, you’ll help manage supplies, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reception and front-of-house duties, keeping the clinic running smoothly.

About you:

– New Zealand working rights

– A Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)

– Minimum of two years’ experience as a veterinary nurse in a small animal practice

– An interest or confidence in anaesthesia and patient monitoring
