An opportunity has become available for a qualified and experienced vet nurse in New Zealand’s Southland Region on a permanent full-time basis.
This role would suit someone who wants to put their nursing skills to good use in a collaborative environment and become part of a team that values high-quality patient care, professionalism and a positive workplace culture.
Reporting to the Head Veterinary Nurse, you will help keep the hospital and surgery running smoothly while providing high-quality nursing care and administrative support. The role offers plenty of day-to-day variety, with the opportunity to contribute across clinical nursing, hospital organisation, surgery support and the administrative tasks that help the wider team work effectively.
The practice is part of a New Zealand-owned veterinary group that keeps its people, clients and animals at the centre of its work. You will work alongside experienced vets and nurses who support one another, enjoy what they do and are always looking for better ways of working. The wider organisation also invests in research, embraces new technology and supports the professional growth of its team.
Applicants should hold a Certificate or Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and bring strong clinical nursing skills and practical experience. Clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail and a team-first approach will be important. A positive attitude and a good sense of humour will also help you fit comfortably into the team.
This role is perfect for a veterinary nurse who is passionate about animal care, values collaboration and wants to contribute to a workplace where people can learn, have a laugh and take pride in doing their jobs well.
