The caseload is interesting and varied, with no two days the same. The practice sees exotics, orthopaedics and emergency medicine, and refers only when absolutely necessary, so you will have plenty of opportunity to develop and apply your skills across a broad range of cases.
The team takes continuing education seriously, with monthly journal clubs, weekly team meetings, a generous study allowance and extra paid leave for study. The environment is driven by high-quality care rather than KPIs, and a good fit within the team is important to the practice. Full time vets at the practice work an eight-day fortnight with no on-call requirements.
The practice offers a generous base salary plus after-hours pay, paid AVA membership, a CPD allowance and the use of a modern, fully-equipped hospital. Sponsorship (work permit) is available for suitable overseas candidates.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
