An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced companion animal vet at a privately-owned practice in New Zealand’s Northland region.
You will be joining a fun and supportive team. There are currently 17 vets working across four clinics. The team includes both new graduates and seasoned professionals.
Vets at the practice enjoy a flexible four-day work week, and the employers are happy to accommodate similar arrangements. Companion animal after-hours are shared on a 1 in 7 rotation. A rostered nurse will be available to assist, and you will receive six hours of time in lieu per weekend, along with a generous call-out fee.
For the right candidate, the employers will provide an exceptionally strong package. The work/life balance at this practice is exceptional. No one works after 5 pm and on-call is well arranged.
The companion animal caseload is varied, from routine surgeries like desexing and vaccinations to complex orthopaedic cases and more. There is room for you to champion your area of interest within the practice.
The team is looking for a motivated and driven veterinarian who enjoys variety and is keen to contribute to a supportive practice environment. Someone with an interest in small animal orthopaedics would be particularly well-suited to the role. There is also the potential for future partnership for the right person.
A generous salary is offered, depending on experience, along with VCNZ registration, NZVA membership and a CPD allowance. The employers are also willing to consider assistance with a visa and relocation.
The new, purpose-built clinic, which will serve as the main hub for delivering top-quality care, is currently under development.
The practice is located in the beautiful Northland region of New Zealand.
