A veterinarian is required to join a rapidly expanding veterinary clinic in Sydney’s north-western suburbs.
The clinic is growing from two vets to three and is looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative vet who is motivated to continue developing their clinical skills in a supportive environment.
The role can be offered on a permanent full-time or part-time basis. Full-time hours are across a four-day week, with shifts either 8 am to 6 pm or 9 am to 7 pm and a share of weekends.
This modern, purpose-built clinic is committed to delivering a high standard of medical and surgical care. The caseload includes a strong surgical component, with both advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. This would be a great fit for a veterinarian who enjoys both surgery and medicine and would like to further develop their surgical and/or medical capability within a collaborative team.
The clinic offers a highly supportive environment with genuine opportunities for growth across a broad range of areas, including soft tissue surgery, complex dental procedures, ultrasonography and urgent care cases.
Equipment and facilities include an advanced surgical suite for soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, an in-house IDEXX laboratory, endoscopy and laparoscopy equipment. The clinic also has a rehabilitation site with an underwater treadmill.
The team culture is strong, collaborative and focused on continued professional development, with a hands-on clinical lead providing ongoing support. Remuneration is well above award and commensurate with experience.
The ideal applicant will have two to three years’ experience, although competent and motivated recent graduates are welcome to apply. The successful vet will communicate clearly and confidently with clients and colleagues, show curiosity and initiative and enjoy contributing to a positive workplace culture.
The practice is located in a popular suburb of Sydney’s north-west, offering a family-friendly lifestyle with spacious housing, access to some of the state’s top schools, great restaurants and cafes, and one of the southern hemisphere’s largest indoor shopping centres nearby. With the Hawkesbury River and national parks within easy reach, it offers a lovely balance of suburban convenience and outdoor lifestyle appeal.
