A modern practice based in the affluent area of Hawke’s Bay is recruiting for an experienced companion animal veterinarian to join their team. They offer a full range of services, including onsite Idexx blood testing, digital radiography, dental X-ray and ultrasound.
You would be joining a team of three full-time vets, two part-time vets, and nine vet nurses. As one of the few independent clinics left, they are happy to create a role for you. You can build this role around your lifestyle.
This practice doesn’t cut corners. They have an experienced team working in a relaxed, friendly environment together, doing what is right for the patient and practice.
You can expect a varied caseload with a good mix of consults and surgery, owning your cases and seeing them through. No production line consults here. 15-minute consults are standard, with extra time allowed for more complicated cases.
The employer doesn’t believe in working their team into the ground. They want you well-rested and refreshed so you can be at your best. They will endeavour to be flexible and accommodating with time off.
The role involves 2 to 4, 7.5-hour days per week. With an hour for lunch each day and time blocked off in your diary for your own hospital patients and phone calls/procedures. This position includes rostered weekends (1 in 4 to 1 in 5). There are no after-hours required for this role.
