JOB NO: 222,577SB2

This is a great opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to join a thriving companion animal clinic in North East Victoria.

This position is offering flexible full-time or part-time hours and no on-call. The role would suit a vet who enjoys variety, teamwork and providing high-standard care. There is an option to take on a clinical leadership position for those looking to progress their career.

The clinic values strong client relationships, a supportive culture and a collaborative approach, and the work stays interesting thanks to regular second-opinion cases and visiting specialist surgeons, including orthopaedics.

You will be working in a contemporary, purpose-built environment designed with comfort and workflow in mind. Facilities include three consult rooms, a peaceful end-of-life room, a separate feline consult space and feline hospital, defined canine hospital area, a dedicated sterile surgery adjacent to an imaging room and a dedicated dental room.

A work car is available for home visits, and there is a comfortable kitchen and break area for downtime between consults. The team enjoys celebrating wins with shoutouts, coffee runs, cake and regular catchups, contributing to a positive, close-knit atmosphere.

For those seeking a leadership opportunity, the clinical lead role focuses on shaping and upholding clinical standards, coaching a young and passionate team and maintaining a strong culture of high-quality medicine and genuine client connection. Leadership development is well supported through structured training, peer mentoring and a broader clinical network.

Flexible work options, including part-time and co-leadership arrangements, can be tailored to suit your lifestyle. The clinic also embraces wellbeing through regular check-ins, lunch-and-learns and access to volunteer leave, internal secondments and national training resources.

The location offers the benefits of a growing regional hub with great amenities, friendly communities and plenty of space, while remaining connected to Melbourne with easy access to the airport. It’s a location that allows you to enjoy regional living without losing connection to the city.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience with solid general practice skills across medicine, surgery and dentistry. Strong communication, teamwork and a collaborative mindset are important, along with either leadership experience or enthusiasm to develop these skills. The team is also very happy to hear from experienced vets who would prefer to focus solely on clinical work rather than a leadership pathway.

Salary packages are generous and include a clinical lead salary of $160,000–$170,000 per annum (FTE) plus super and profit-sharing bonus incentives. Senior veterinarians not in a lead role will be offered attractive remuneration, along with a $10,000 sign-on bonus, generous CPD allowance, one week of CE leave, leadership development opportunities, paid parental and volunteer leave, VSB registration, support for memberships or subscriptions and access to retail and travel discounts.

The employer is willing to assist with a work visa (sponsorship) and relocation costs for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
