An opportunity has become available for an experienced production animal vet to join a well-established, privately owned practice in the Canterbury region of New Zealand.
This is a permanent role with a dairy focus. There is plenty of flexibility on offer for the right candidate.
The practice is proudly owner-operated and has been a trusted provider of veterinary care to the local community for decades. With a strong focus on community values, the team is known for fostering positive relationships and delivering high-quality, evidence-based veterinary medicine.
The veterinary team consists of seven vets, supported by dedicated nursing and technician staff. The practice places a strong emphasis on preventative animal health, continuous professional development, and creating meaningful outcomes for clients and their animals.
The clinic itself is a purpose-built, Best Practice Accredited facility equipped with a full suite of diagnostic tools, surgical equipment, and internal and external referral options for complex cases. The ideal Candidate:
– Be experienced and confident with production animal practices and can operate mixed practice afterhours.
– Strong communication skills and a calm, relationship-focused approach.
– Able to integrate quickly into a cohesive, team-oriented environment.
– BVSc or equivalent, and eligible for registration to practice in New Zealand.
