A fantastic opportunity has become available for a mixed practice veterinarian to join an NZVA BESTPractice Accredited Clinic in the Bay of Plenty region!

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and passionate about their work, and possess excellent general small animal surgical and medical skills. Ideally, two years of clinical experience is desired.
The position is full-time; however, the role could be flexible and fulfilled alternatively with two part-time veterinarians. There will be 1 in 3 weekends to be worked, and shared after hours.
The practice is ideally seeking a mixed practitioner to undertake 90% small animal. The 10% large animal caseload (lifestyle, dairy, sheep and beef) mostly involves ambulatory work while on-call.
The practice offers great support through its mentoring programme, being partnered with an experienced vet and overseen by the practice manager, and also prioritises a healthy work-life balance.
The clinic provides in-house point of diagnostics (CBC, biochemistry and Imagyst), digital x-ray, ultrasonography, dental x-ray, all within purpose-built facilities. The practice offers a referral imaging service and accepts a variety of medical and surgical referrals from other practices, such as Radioactive Iodine treatment, CT and MRI services.
Located under 3 hours from Auckland, the area varies greatly in landscapes, offering brilliant views of the magnificent Bay of Plenty coastline, complete with its beaches and off-shore islands.
