JOB NO: 222,595SB2

A well-established, independently owned practice is seeking a veterinarian to join its expanding eight-vet team.

Recent graduates with at least 1 years’ experience as well as more experienced vets are welcome to apply.

This is a relaxed and supportive workplace that genuinely prioritises work-life balance and offers flexibility to suit different stages of life and career goals.

The role is mostly small animal focused, with large animal work limited to weekends and after-hours. The ideal veterinarian will enjoy small animal practice and be comfortable contributing to large animal after-hours work as required.

Flexible hours are available from three days per week through to full time. A full-time veterinarian would work one weekend in eight, consisting of a Saturday morning shift plus after-hours and participate in an on-call roster of one night per week.

The practice is large enough to structure rosters around family and lifestyle commitments, ensuring important sporting or family events are not missed. There is flexibility to tailor the role to individual strengths and interests.

The clinic is a large, purpose-built facility equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment tools, including in-house Idexx blood testing, digital radiography, ultrasound and contemporary dental equipment.

The team environment is supportive and enjoyable, with a focus on collaboration and professional development. There is scope to support special interests and access postgraduate training where desired.

You will be remunerated with a salary well above industry standards. Five weeks of annual leave is offered, or the pro-rata equivalent for part-time roles. After-hours work is paid at 80% of professional fees, and a car and phone can be included in the salary package.

The employer is willing to assist with a work visa (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

This role is located in northern Victoria on the picturesque Murray River, a region known for its stunning scenery, warm climate and relaxed lifestyle. The area offers excellent opportunities for water sports, outdoor recreation and enjoying the natural beauty of riverside living, making it an appealing place to build both a career and a life.
