An exciting opportunity is available for a veterinarian to join a highly regarded, well-established small animal practice in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
The position is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, with both full time and part time applicants welcome. This role would suit an enthusiastic practitioner looking to develop their skills, enjoy a varied caseload and work within a supportive and experienced team.
The practice has a long-standing reputation for providing high-quality, compassionate veterinary care. The team works from a purpose-built modern hospital and places a strong emphasis on excellent clinical standards, continuity of care and providing comprehensive treatment in-house wherever possible.
The successful veterinarian will enjoy a varied and interesting general practice caseload, including preventative health care, medical cases, infectious disease, routine procedures, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic surgery and laparoscopic surgery. Reproduction services are managed separately by registered reproduction specialists and residents.
You will work alongside an experienced team in a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and professional development are strongly encouraged. You will be well supported by senior and experienced colleagues, including many team members who have worked in the industry for more than 20 years. The veterinary team includes practitioners ranging from recent graduates through to veterinarians with more than two decades of experience.
The practice is particularly interested in veterinarians who are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care and who enjoy working as part of a close-knit team. Strong communication and organisational skills, empathy and a willingness to continue learning and developing professionally will be highly regarded.
Continuing professional development is strongly supported, with a number of veterinarians within the team having achieved ANZCVS Membership or higher qualifications. There is also scope for long-term career development and potential future business involvement for the right person.
