If you’re looking for a clinic that values teamwork, mentorship and a great work-life balance, look no further!

An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated veterinarian at a modern, purpose-built hospital in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne!

This is a busy small animal clinic that prides themselves on their team culture and on promoting a healthy work-life balance. You will enjoy working alongside a fun and friendly team who regularly enjoy snacks, coffee and a good laugh!

The welcoming and supportive team is led by a practice manager with more than 15 years of dedication to the team, alongside a senior vet who is highly respected for both experience and a genuine passion for surgery.

For vets looking to strengthen their surgical skills, there is an excellent mentor on hand who’s keen to provide guidance. Vets at the practice are supported by seven experienced nurses, each with over a decade of commitment, creating a stable and knowledgeable support network.

The employers are looking for a passionate and dedicated veterinarian who is committed to delivering personalised, professional, and compassionate care to both pets and their owners.

This practice offers flexibility with working hours and is happy to accommodate either a part-time or full-time role to suit your lifestyle.

There may be times when you will need to work confidently as a sole practitioner in clinic, but there are always experienced nurses to support you.

Benefits include:

– A growth-focused environment where your professional development is priority

– Flexible working arrangements

– Heidi Health AI support to streamline clinical histories and reduce admin time

– One week of paid study leave

– Access to extensive continuing education programs

– AVA or VIN memberships paid for

– Mental Health First Aid Officers in the clinic

– 24/7 access to free and confidential counselling through Telus Health

– A competitive salary and benefits package, tailored to your experience

– Staff discounts on veterinary services and retail products

– Regional relocation allowance for the right candidate

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

The practice is located in Melbourne’s south-east, in a busy and growing suburb. The area is a great place to work and has easy access to the Melbourne CBD in just 40 minutes. There is the added benefit of being close to Gippsland, a great place for road trips, hiking and exploring diverse landscapes.
