A position has become available for a veterinarian at an established hospital in Western Australia.

This hospital has been locally operated for over half a century and is an important part of the local community. They have a great team of vets and nurses and a loyal client base. The team aims to provide a high standard of medical and surgical knowledge and treatment to their patients in a friendly, compassionate hospital environment.

Interested in surgery? There is the opportunity to gain or improve orthopaedic skills alongside an experienced vet, if desired. Current vets have special interests in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, avian medicine, alternate therapies and rehab therapy. The team receive referrals in these fields.

For experienced vets, there is the opportunity to move into a leadership role, if desired.

The ideal candidate will want to work in a hands-on clinic to get in and hone their skills. You will focus on furthering your vet career by taking the initiative to learn from the experienced team, the opportunities for development and the large and varied caseload. The position can be full or part-time, with flexible work arrangements on offer. A full time role involves a four-day working week. No on-call is required.

Sponsorship (work permit) and relocation assistance are available for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
