This is an opportunity to join a close-knit and supportive team that values teamwork, professional growth and community spirit. Now under new ownership, this practice is a locally owned clinic where modern equipment meets old-fashioned teamwork and where your development as a veterinarian truly matters.

This is a flexible full-time or part-time role with a regular rostered day off. There will be some after-hours required. The after-hours rota is 1 night per week and 1 in 4 weekends.

Both new/recent graduates and experienced vets are encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will work alongside five other passionate veterinarians and six dedicated nurses who support each other through the busy weeks and celebrate the wins together.

The team values collaboration and shared learning, combining youth and experience to create an environment where everyone contributes and grows. Whether you are looking to strengthen your surgical skills, explore emergency or exotic medicine, or simply find your niche in general practice, you’ll be encouraged and supported to reach your goals.

The role offers a varied week that includes routine consultations and vaccinations, challenging medical cases, and a full surgical day with procedures ranging from desexing and lumpectomies to more advanced soft tissue surgeries.

The clinic is well equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, in-house IDEXX laboratory capabilities and comprehensive surgical facilities, providing everything you need to deliver high-quality care.

Located in a historic city on Queensland’s beautiful coastline, this role offers an enviable lifestyle with easy access to stunning beaches. It is a welcoming regional community where you will find both professional satisfaction and the space to enjoy life outside work.

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

Feedback from a previous employee:

I started at the practice as a recent graduate and have stayed for five years. The support has been really great. The practice has a really good team environment. The owner and the practice manager work in the practice and they are really easy to talk to. The nurses are really good and very capable. The clinic is fast-paced. We see an amazing variety of cases. The quality of the care at this practice is really good. We do a lot of interesting work in-house. I see some exotics and wildlife work as well as all the usual cases. You are able to follow your interests at this practice. I think whoever works at this practice will enjoy it. I am sad to be leaving.

Feedback from a current employee:

I started here as a new graduate and have now been part of the team for almost two years. I will be staying on! It’s a busy but supportive environment where we collaborate closely on cases. We do some orthopaedic surgeries in-house, and there is the opportunity to be involved for those who are interested. I personally only see small animals, but other vets also take on large animal work, so there is the opportunity to undertake that if desired. We see lots of medicine cases and often have a full hospital. The equipment at the practice is good. Our nursing team is amazing. I love working at this practice.
