This is a newly created position designed to support an established team, offering the chance to step into a clinic with a warm, family-style culture where people feel valued and supported. The role would suit a confident GP vet who enjoys autonomy, variety, and being part of a collaborative and caring team.
This is a varied companion animal role involving consultations, surgery, diagnostics, dentistry, and general medical workups. You will work closely with colleagues on patient cases, contribute to monthly vet meetings and deliver a high standard of patient care and client communication.
The position is full time, with a 1 in 4 Saturday roster, and there is flexibility around hours and days for the right candidate.
The clinic has a loyal client base and a close-knit team who work collaboratively and supports one another. The environment is friendly, respectful, and focused on providing high-quality care while maintaining a positive workplace culture. With strong support from an experienced team, this is a great opportunity for a vet who would like to make the role their own and shape how they practice.
The employer is looking for a veterinarian with at least two years of experience in companion animal practice, a veterinary degree that is registerable in New Zealand, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A collaborative mindset, integrity, and a genuine interest in ongoing learning and development will be highly valued.
On offer is a salary of $90,000 to $120,000 plus benefits, depending on experience, along with flexible working arrangements, staff discounts on veterinary services and retail products, and the support of an experienced team in a non-corporate workplace. This is an excellent role for a vet seeking flexibility, professional support, and the opportunity to build an ideal long-term position in a genuinely caring clinic environment.
