The practice sees a predominantly small animal caseload.
The role is flexible to be either full or part-time. Shifts are 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. The practice is closed on Sundays. Vets at the practice work a four-day work week with one weekday off.
After-hours are shared equally (typically 1 night per week) and will only start after the third month of employment for new graduates. Vets on duty also receive a percentage of the after-hours fees. Vet Check take the initial after-hours calls.
The practice employs multiple vets. The team includes senior vets.
The employers are offering a competitive salary range of $92,000 to $130,000 per annum plus super. This is negotiable based on your skills and experience. The total minimum remuneration package exceeds $110,000 per annum, including relocation allowance, continuing education, incentives and after-hours payments (30% of total billed).
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for experienced vets from overseas. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
The team work out of a purpose-built veterinary hospital with state-of-the-art equipment, including 7 anaesthetic machines, 2 iM3 dental machines, digital x-ray, ultrasound, video endoscope, ECG, in-house IDEXX lab, Vetscan Imagyst, pulse oximeters, Doppler, tonometer and more. The hospital’s proximity to Sydney allows for referral to specialist centres. This practice is also a significant centre for canine reproductive services, including semen collection and artificial insemination.
