An independent, well-established, busy practice in the Macarthur Region of New South Wales is looking for a vet to join them in a full or part-time capacity.
The practice sees mostly small animals, but there is the scope to increase the large animal caseload if desired. The large animal work is currently minimal, and the role can be 100% small animal if preferred.
The practice is well-regarded by clients and is an active part of the local community. They place a strong emphasis on animal welfare, working with the local council animal shelter and WIRES.
The employer values the input of staff; you would be involved in decision-making with respect to procedures, drugs used and services offered.
The role can be full or part-time, with flexible work hours. Ideally, the practice is seeking a vet to work 3-4 days per week plus 1-2 weekends a month. There is minimal after-hours work.
Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience, with a starting salary somewhere between $125,000-$175,000 for a full time role.
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
The practice is located in a semi-rural area of the Macarthur Region of New South Wales, 80km from Sydney CBD and 25km from Wollongong.
