A privately owned referral centre in inner Melbourne has a current vacancy for a specialist in small animal medicine.
The successful applicant will join a large team. The medicine department employs multiple specialists and an intern. They are supported by a team of dedicated nurses and work cooperatively with 24-hour emergency care and an established specialist surgical service.
A post-graduate qualification allowing registration as a specialist is preferred; however, credentialed specialist exam candidates are welcome to apply.
Part-time hours will be considered.
You will be working within an established centre that provides specialist surgery and medicine services for companion animals and referral behaviour, ophthalmology, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy consultations.
This is a well-equipped modern hospital with a 54-slice CT scanner, 2 x high quality ultrasounds and MRI access when required, clinical pathology, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, EMG and digital radiography, allowing excellent diagnostic capabilities.
The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
