A busy small animal clinic in Melbourne’s southeast is seeking a full-time senior veterinarian to join their friendly and supportive team.

The practice is well-equipped with two consult rooms, a sterile operating theatre, digital X-ray, dental X-ray and in-house pathology equipment. The clinic also receives regular visits from medical and surgical specialists and works closely with nearby hospitals for referrals and overnight patient care.
The team currently consists of five staff, including an experienced business manager and a fully staffed nursing team who provide strong day-to-day support. The caseload includes a wide range of consultations, surgeries, dentistry, diagnostics and general practice work.
For a senior vet stepping into the leadership role, responsibilities will include guiding case management, mentoring vets and nurses, supporting team development and assisting with aspects of clinic operations such as rostering, stock management and business performance. You will also work closely with a wider leadership group within the veterinary network, who provide mentorship and ongoing support.
The practice offers a strong focus on work-life balance with a roster that includes rotating Saturdays but no Sundays, no public holidays and no on-call or after-hours work. The clinic operates Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 5 or 5:30 pm.
Remuneration for this role is up to $150,000 plus superannuation, with a performance-based bonus structure and regular salary reviews.
