This is a full-time position. Work-life balance is important to the practice, so rosters are geared with this in mind. The practice is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and is closed on weekends.
As a senior surgical veterinary nurse, you will play a key role in both hands-on patient care and leading the busy nursing team. Your responsibilities will include surgical and diagnostic assistance, patient monitoring and treatment, nurse consultations and mentoring and supporting junior veterinary nurses.
The right person for the role will be a motivated senior surgical veterinary nurse with a passion for both animals and leadership. You will thrive in this role if you genuinely care for pets, clients, and your colleagues, work well independently and as part of a team, have excellent communication and leadership skills and possess a high level of integrity and a commitment to continued professional development.
Applicants must hold a relevant Veterinary Nursing qualification registerable in New Zealand and have a minimum of three years of experience in veterinary nursing.
