A well-regarded, purpose-built animal hospital in inner Melbourne is seeking an experienced ECC veterinary nurse for a permanent overnight role in its ICU department. Shifts run from 7:45pm to 6:15am and the position is available on a full-time basis (four nights per week) or part-time (three nights per week).
This is a role for a nurse who loves the focused, patient-centred nature of overnight work. As the clinic is open until 10pm, there is minimal client-facing work on overnight shifts, allowing you to dedicate your time to what matters most: caring for hospitalised and critically ill animals. You’ll work alongside the overnight vet with a second nurse also assisting until midnight.
The facility is exceptionally well equipped, with CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, digital radiology, ECG, tonopen IOP, cryopen, doppler, advanced monitoring tools, an in-house laboratory, and separate ICU wards for dogs and cats.
