Do you thrive on variety? Enjoy a perfect mix of equine, small animal and production animal work!
A leading state-of-the-art veterinary clinic is seeking a mixed practitioner. Become part of a collaborative mixed team where you can have the freedom to build on your interests.
This mixed role offers an engaging combination of equine, small animal and livestock work, with approximately 80-90% equine and the remainder shared between small animals and livestock. The practice provides a balance of in-clinic and ambulatory equine work, along with the opportunity to build on your own clinical interests.
The role would suit a vet who wants broad experience within a friendly, flexible and well-supported rural practice.
The successful vet will work alongside a supportive and fun team, with two in-house board-certified surgeons who can provide mentorship. You will be surrounded by authentic expertise and approachable mentors who are there every day.
The role offers a supportive learning environment, with mentoring available across all areas of mixed practice. Vets are encouraged to shape their role as their skills and interests evolve, and the team culture is genuinely collaborative and enjoyable. The practice is well equipped, with modern diagnostic tools, well-appointed vehicles and a range of equipment suitable for mixed and equine work.
Work-life balance is a priority, with flexible arrangements available, including four-day work week options and a sustainable after-hours roster. Salary packages are competitive and tailored to experience, and there is a strong emphasis on professional development with funded CPD and clear pathways for career progression.
The location is very convenient – just one hour drive from Gold Coast and the city of Brisbane. The area boasts stunning natural beauty, mountain ranges and sweeping valleys. The region is home to rainforests, national parks, lakes, farmland and more. The area is also an active community in all equine disciplines – dressage, eventing, camp drafting, reining, polocrosse, western pleasure, cutting, showjumping, adult riding, etc.
Work at a practice where excellence is reflected in the loyalty of Queensland’s leading thoroughbred farms and the trust of local horse owners!
