Do you enjoy variety, value strong client relationships and like being part of a collaborative, down-to-earth team?
Join a busy and welcoming mixed animal team in the Manawatu-Wanganui Region of New Zealand’s North Island.
There are two roles available, one permanent full-time and one fixed-term maternity cover role to start ASAP.
This is a great opportunity for a generalist mixed animal veterinarian with sheep and beef experience and solid companion animal skills to step into a varied position where you can make a real difference to both farming clients and pet owners.
The roles involve supporting the large animal side of the business while also providing high-quality care to companion animals. The successful applicants will be involved in a broad range of work, including herd health checks, fertility management, disease prevention, consulting, surgery and treatment, while helping clients improve animal health and farm performance.
You will also contribute to business growth, explore new ways to deliver value to clients, and work closely with a nursing, technician and support team that is committed to a high standard of care.
The roles are full-time, 40 hours per week, plus rostered Saturdays and an on-call rotation. The on-call roster is structured with work-life balance in mind, with weekends on call generally once every 1 in 5 weeks or less, plus one weeknight.
You will be joining a supportive workplace that places real value on professional growth, team culture and staff wellbeing. Benefits include CPD and self-education support, six-monthly development reviews, an employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, competitive remuneration, a 3% KiwiSaver contribution, staff discounts on animal care services and products, annual flu vaccination, an extra paid day off for your birthday, long service leave, parental leave top-ups and flexible working arrangements.
