Are you an experienced veterinarian who enjoys leadership, collaboration and making a difference to both your team and the wider community?

This clinic is looking for a dedicated Lead Vet to guide and support a talented team while delivering high standards of patient care.

You will be working alongside five veterinarians and seven experienced nurses in a relaxed, friendly setting where collaboration and good humour are part of daily life.

The clinic is well equipped with modern technology, allowing the team to provide a wide range of advanced medical and surgical services. With a busy and varied caseload, your days will include both consults and surgery, offering plenty of scope to grow your clinical skills and support the development of others.

The role involves leading and mentoring the veterinary team while helping to foster a positive, inclusive and professional workplace culture. You will also play an active role in shaping clinical standards and procedures, always with a focus on patient wellbeing and client experience.

While leadership experience is an advantage, it is not essential, as mentorship and support are available. A minimum of four years’ clinical experience is preferred. This role will suit a vet who enjoys leading by example, working collaboratively and being part of a supportive and fun team that genuinely cares about the work they do.

The clinic offers a supportive environment that values professional growth, with tailored continuing education, paid study leave and opportunities to attend a clinical symposium. Flexibility is also a priority, with family-friendly rostering options available, and a range of additional benefits including paid parental leave, veterinary services discounts and access to retail and healthcare savings. For the right candidate, a regional relocation allowance may also be considered.

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

The practice is located in south-eastern Melbourne, only a 40-minute drive from the CBD at the foothills of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges.
