A leading rural veterinary provider is seeking a passionate and experienced large animal veterinarian to join their newly established clinic in South Otago.

This role is ideally suited to a motivated vet with strong experience in dairy, sheep, and beef practice, and a genuine passion for working with New Zealand farming systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality veterinary services to the local farming community while helping to build lasting client relationships and drive clinic success.
The role offers a rewarding mix of clinical work including:
75% dairy, 15% sheep and beef, 10% other species (including equine, deer and more).

Candidate requirements:
– BVSc or equivalent, and eligibility to practise in New Zealand.
– 2 to 3+ years’ experience in large animal practice, ideally with a dairy focus.
– Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
– Full New Zealand driver’s licence.
– Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
– A passion for rural communities and interest in practice growth.
– Experience in NZ rural practice and familiarity with local farming systems is essential.
