An established small animal referral practice is seeking an Internal Medicine Specialist or residency-trained clinician eligible for specialist registration.

You will join a busy multidisciplinary referral hospital and manage a diverse and rewarding small animal internal medicine caseload. Working alongside highly skilled specialists, residents, interns and experienced nursing teams, you will have access to advanced diagnostic equipment and strong interdisciplinary support.
The role includes performing and interpreting advanced diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, endoscopy and minimally invasive procedures. You will provide high-quality patient care, communicate clearly with clients and collaborate closely with clinicians across surgery, emergency and critical care, oncology, diagnostic imaging and anaesthesia.
You will also have the opportunity to support and mentor interns and junior clinicians, participate in continuing education and contribute to professional development and specialist collaboration across the wider practice group. The established referral network provides scope to further develop your clinical interests while working within a supportive, values-based and forward-thinking team.
Applicants must be registered specialists in small animal internal medicine or residency-trained clinicians eligible for specialist registration. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to high standards of patient care, excellent communication and client relationship skills, and the ability to independently manage complex medical cases. A collaborative approach, strong organisational skills and a genuine interest in mentoring and professional development are also important.
