JOB NO: 222,306MC1

A small animal clinic in South East Queensland is home to a passionate and dedicated team who are driven to provide high-quality care to pets in their community.

The employer is seeking a full-time or part-time Head Veterinarian to lead this close-knit team. This position would suit an experienced vet ready to step into leadership or an existing lead vet looking for a supportive environment where their ideas are valued. You will be responsible for guiding clinical standards, providing mentorship, managing clinic operations and contributing to the ongoing success of the practice.

The clinic is well equipped with IDEXX in-house pathology, a surgical suite, x-ray and dental x-ray machines. Most routine procedures are performed on-site, and the team also facilitates visits from a mobile orthopaedic surgeon when needed.

Patients at the clinic are predominantly cats and dogs, with the occasional exotic case. The team enjoys a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, and even has a great café nearby – perfect for a morning coffee or lunch break.

This role offers a generous remuneration package with regular reviews and rewards for performance. There are no after-hours, Sunday or public holiday shifts, and the roster provides flexibility to balance family and lifestyle commitments. The employer offers access to leadership and business mentorship programs, unlimited CPD, and five days of study leave each year, ensuring your professional growth continues.

Team members benefit from paid parental leave, in-clinic VIN membership, and access to an Employee Assistance Program for health and wellbeing support.

The employer is willing to assist with a work visa (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
