A position has become available at a progressive and expanding mixed practice in Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the transformation of the business under fresh, experienced and energetic new ownership!

The practice is seeking to employ either a small animal, mixed practice or mostly large animal vet for this role. Applicants should have a minimum of 12 months experience.

The overall practice caseload is currently 70% small animal, 30% equine and cattle, with a scattering of alpacas, sheep and the occasional pet pig. There is an enormous opportunity for growth on the large animal side of things, particularly with the cattle and equine work. i.e. you can spend most of your time doing large animal work if desired.

The clinic is well-equipped, including digital x-ray, full in-house lab, ultrasound (for small and large animals), endoscope, IM3 dental suite and practice vehicles equipped for large animal work.

The team pride themselves on fostering a supportive, inclusive environment. They are dedicated to providing exceptional medical and surgical care for animals and support for their family. They offer a comprehensive range of hospital and ambulatory veterinary services and their focus is on providing quality, evidence-based care.

Working conditions for full-time vets include a 4-day working week with a one-in-five rotation for after-hours. Applications from vets interested in part-time work will also be considered.

Standard shift times:

Weekdays 7.30 am to 5.30 pm

Saturdays 8.30 am to 12.30 pm

The employer is willing to assist with a work permit (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

The practice is located within a well-positioned regional town with easy access to beaches, wineries and national forests.
