A well-established, privately owned small animal practice in south-east Melbourne is seeking a veterinarian to join the team.
The clinic is known for its caring, compassionate approach and strong relationships with the local community. It is a busy practice with a loyal client base, and you will be supported by a team of experienced nurses in a collaborative and welcoming working environment. The practice owner has over 19 years of experience and works alongside the successful applicant in delivering high-quality veterinary care.
Flexible working arrangements are on offer, with hours available from three days per week through to full time. Weekends are worked on a rotating basis (1 in 2), with Sundays optional.
This role is open to both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates with at least one year of experience in practice. You will see a varied small animal caseload and have the opportunity to further develop your skills in both consulting and surgery. Solid soft tissue surgical skills are welcomed, with orthopaedic experience a bonus, along with a strong interest in medicine. The team is open to vets who are excited to bring new skills to the practice or continue developing their existing strengths. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients are essential.
The employer is willing to assist with a work visa (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
