A privately owned 100% equine practice in the Canterbury region of New Zealand’s South Island is seeking a vet with at least 4 years experience.
Part-time or full-time employment hours can be offered.
The practice works with horses of all disciplines and aims to deliver the same high standard of care to a backyard pony as to a cup-winning racehorse.
The practice treats polo ponies, sports horses, racehorses, broodmares, foals, geriatrics, children’s ponies and even the occasional donkey. They offer all aspects of veterinary care, from stud work to lameness to routine preventative medicine. There is also a fair share of reproduction/breeding work.
The successful applicant will complete a two-vet and two-vet nurse team.
The practice is well equipped with portable diagnostic imaging machines such as digital x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound and ECG.
The practice is located in a thriving country town within 30 minutes of Christchurch. The town is rich in history and has fantastic eateries. With lush vineyards, wild coastlines and sky-piercing mountains, your time off will be spent exploring this incredible scenery.
