An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced exotic animal veterinarian to join a dedicated team at a state-of-the-art hospital in Melbourne. This role is ideal for a vet who is confident managing a wide range of exotic species and is looking to work in a supportive, well-equipped environment where they can fully utilise and further develop their skills.
This is a 100% exotics role, but the practice can also accommodate candidates who are interested in a blended small animal and exotics caseload.
You’ll be working in a contemporary facility designed to optimise animal health and wellbeing, delivering high-quality veterinary care that is accessible to all members of the community. The role offers a diverse and interesting caseload, allowing you to apply both your medical and surgical expertise.
The position can be part-time (three days per week) or full-time. Full-time vets at this practice work a four-day week, supporting a great work-life balance. The clinic operates from 8:30 am to 10 pm, Monday to Sunday.
The hospital is extremely well-equipped, featuring advanced diagnostic and surgical tools including CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, digital x-ray, electrocardiogram, tonopen IOP, cryopen, doppler and SurgiVet monitoring equipment.
You’ll be part of a highly skilled and experienced veterinary team, with access to a range of staff benefits including pet-friendly workplace policies, flexible rostering, wellbeing support and on-site parking.
The employer is willing to assist with a work visa (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
