If you’re an experienced dairy vet looking for a role where your skills will be genuinely valued, this position is worth considering. A well-established practice on Tasmania’s far north-west coast is seeking a veterinarian with three or more years of dairy experience to join their supportive, close-knit team.
The practice sees a varied and interesting caseload. You’ll be involved in herd health and reproductive programmes, calf and heifer management and welfare, lameness assessment and prevention, and nutrition management, all within a clinic that takes a consultative, preventative approach to dairy health. It’s the kind of role where you can build real depth in your clinical work and develop lasting relationships with clients who genuinely rely on your expertise.
The team includes three other full-time vets supported by FIFO locums, dedicated technicians and experienced office staff, and the clinic operates Monday to Friday with after-hours shared across the team. You’ll have the tools and backing you need to deliver a high standard of care from day one, with genuine scope to contribute to the practice’s continued growth.
Tasmania’s far north-west coast is a beautiful place to live. Surrounded by some of the richest farmland in the country, you’ll work against a backdrop of rugged coastline, ancient rainforest and wide open skies. The nearby Tarkine Wilderness is on your doorstep for bushwalking and four-wheel driving, the surf at Marrawah is world-class, and the historic town of Stanley is just a short drive away. Life here is relaxed, affordable and connected to the land in a way that’s genuinely hard to find elsewhere. If you’ve been thinking about a tree change without sacrificing interesting work, this region delivers on both counts.
