In your new role as a consulting vet, you’ll provide high-quality veterinary care, contributing to the continued delivery of exceptional services to the community.
This position offers flexibility in both days and hours. With part-time and full-time options available, you can choose to work mornings, afternoons, or evenings across a seven-day roster. Full-time vets typically work a four-day week. The hospital is open from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Sunday.
The practice is exceptionally well-equipped, featuring CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, an in-house lab, patient monitors, and purpose-built ICU wards for cats and dogs. You’ll be supported by a team of experienced, highly skilled veterinarians and will encounter a varied and interesting caseload—an ideal setting to refine your expertise or develop a special interest.
To be considered, applicants must have:
– A recognised veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility) to work in Victoria
– A minimum of two years’ experience in a general practice or animal hospital
– Availability to work a mix of weekday, evening, and weekend shifts, including some public holidays
– Strong decision-making and clinical reasoning skills
– High emotional intelligence and self-awareness – Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
– The ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
– A genuine passion for community-focused veterinary care

Sponsorship is available for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and meet the eligibility requirements for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
