A great opportunity is available for a veterinarian in the Waikato to work across two well-established companion animal clinics.

For new/recent graduates, this role offers the chance to build confidence in a supportive and structured environment, with strong mentoring from experienced senior vets and exposure to a varied caseload across two complementary clinic settings. The role is designed to help a new graduate transition into practice with excellent support, while also building strong client communication and relationship skills.
You will be involved in companion animal consultations, preventative healthcare, diagnostics, surgery and treatment planning, while developing your clinical skills under close supervision. You will work closely with experienced veterinary and nursing teams who value collaboration, learning and professional growth.
The role is full-time, with work-life balance considered in rostering. Weekend work is required as part of this position.
The clinics are modern and well-equipped, with in-house diagnostics and surgical facilities, and there is access to referral support for exposure to more advanced and complex cases as part of ongoing development. This role offers a strong foundation for a new graduate, with the benefit of experiencing two different clinic environments while being supported by a wider professional network.
The successful applicant will have a veterinary qualification eligible for registration in New Zealand, along with a strong interest in companion animal medicine and surgery. They will be motivated to learn, proactive in their approach, and comfortable working in a structured and supportive team environment.
The role comes with a salary of $85,000 to $120,000 depending on experience, along with structured support from experienced senior veterinary teams, a strong focus on learning and career development, generous CPD allowance, NZVA registration, discounts on veterinary services and retail products, confidential counselling support, and access to a broad network of colleagues across the North Island.
