SALARY: Competitive - Commensurate with experience

JOB NO: 223,225SB2

A long-established, privately owned practice in Far North Queensland is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join its friendly and dedicated team.

The position is ideally full-time, although part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate. This role would suit a vet who enjoys general practice, takes pride in providing thorough patient care and values being part of a positive, respectful and collaborative workplace.

The caseload offers a rewarding mix of consultations, soft tissue surgery, dentistry and chronic disease management, with the practice also providing veterinary care to charity groups.

The successful applicant will have a positive, professional approach and communicate well with both clients and colleagues. They should be reliable, approachable and able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team. The practice places a strong emphasis on personal, compassionate veterinary care and developing loyal relationships with clients.

An experienced and friendly nursing team provides strong day-to-day support, with a cooperative approach to patient care and client service. The veterinary team also supports one another and is available to discuss cases when needed.

Facilities include digital x-ray, endoscopy, a dedicated theatre, an in-house laboratory and isolation facilities, supporting a broad range of general practice work.

The veterinary roster is based on a 38-hour working week, with flexibility around rostering. Importantly, there are no after-hours duties. The practice genuinely values having a life outside work and aims to provide a sustainable balance between work and personal time.

Annual study leave is provided, and areas of professional interest are encouraged and supported. This could be a good fit for an experienced veterinarian who would like to continue developing their career while working in a supportive general practice environment. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
