Would you like to work in a boutique practice that receives great feedback from

employees?

Enjoy helping compliant, grateful clients and being part of a supportive, friendly team where you will be stimulated to reach your potential.

Would you like the freedom to advance your skills in a wide range of cases?

This is an excellent opportunity join a 9 vet team in a modern practice in Brisbane.

This progressive practice believes in fostering a healthy work environment, where lunch breaks are compulsory and your day is planned in such a way that you can leave on time. All team members are valued and nurtured, allowing you to work to your strengths.

For those with an interest in medicine, this is a great opportunity to learn and further your skills. Those seeking a consulting-only role can be accommodated.

The practice structure allows plenty of time for working up and discussing cases. The team pride themselves on offering an excellent service to their clients.

Working with this highly skilled team of 9 vets means that most cases can be tackled in-house. This allows for strong mentorship and upskilling opportunities. The practice works closely with two nearby specialist centres. The employer invests in all team members and actively supports continued education and the pursual of memberships. One of the vets is a skilled ultrasonographer, and the clinic recently acquired a new ultrasound machine.

To suit this role, applicants should:

– Have a humble, generous personality that allows you to be team orientated.

– Are not satisfied with being an ordinary vet but strive to always exceed expectations.

– Would like to relish your working day and have your passion for veterinary science fuelled.

– Have exceptional client service skills and communication skills.

– Have good time management skills.

– Be empathetic and caring.

The hospital is purpose-built and extremely well-equipped. Equipment includes digital dental x-ray, two IM3 machines, full Synthes orthopaedic suite, electrocautery; Mylab ultrasound; Vetscan VS2, iStat, EPOC blood gases, tonometer and two fully equipped theatres with excellent monitoring equipment.

This is a ‘fear-free’ practice operating out of a high-end hospital. All of the rooms are spacious and beautifully set out.

Vets are supported by well-trained nurses. The successful applicant will join a friendly, close knit team where cases are shared and discussed openly, allowing for further education and continuity in case management.

Sponsorship (work permit) is available for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.

Feedback from a vet who previously worked at this practice:

This job has been a great experience. I have thoroughly enjoyed working at this practice. This is a very high-quality practice and is well-equipped. There is all the equipment you need to handle any procedure in-house. We do complex soft-tissue surgery, as well as orthopaedics, including TPLOs. There is equipment for high-quality dental work, including dental x-ray. There are a number of different anaesthetic machines allowing for multiple procedures to be occurring at once. The staff are all very nice people. It is a great team. The practice has a real family feel. It is very inclusive. We know a lot of our clients and their pets really well.
