An opportunity is available for an experienced thoroughbred reproduction vet to join a respected equine practice for the 2027 breeding season. The position runs from August to December 2027. The primary focus of the role is palpating mares, working across some of the leading thoroughbred studs in Australia.
This is a full-time fixed-term role from August to December 2027. After-hours duties are shared on a 1-in-4 roster. You will have the reassurance of backup from a large 24-hour equine hospital, with experienced colleagues available for support and referrals.
The role includes:
– Palpating mares across a number of leading thoroughbred studs
– Thoroughbred reproductive work throughout the breeding season
– Participation in a 1 in 4 after-hours roster
– Working closely with stud staff and the wider veterinary team
