A veterinarian is required to join an expanding, dynamic, modern and community-minded veterinary team close to the New South Wales/Victoria border.
This position is flexible to be either full or part-time. A full-time role will involve working a four-day week with a share of weekend work. After-hours are minimal with an emergency centre just an hour away.
You will be joining an experienced five-vet team supported by a large team of experienced nurses. Vets at the practice have varying interests in imaging, medicine, emergency, surgery, alternative medicine and exotics and the practice owner has memberships in feline medicine. The team is supportive and collaborative and further study is encouraged.
This purpose-built hospital features:
– Separate dog and cat wards, treatment rooms and theatres
– Visiting and quiet rooms as well as lovely outdoor areas for dogs, cats and staff
– Comprehensive in-house Idexx lab and the latest in RxWorks software
– Current application for Radioactive iodine treatment for cats
– Hydrotherapy and underwater treadmill for physiotherapy for dogs
– The latest in imaging with new ultrasound machine and a 16-slice GE Brightspeed CT
– Digital x-ray including IM3 dental X-ray
– Separate fully equipped dental hospital and Full endoscopy suite
– An enclosed outdoor consulting area to assist dogs fearful of entering inside!
Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
