JOB NO: 223,339LH2

An exciting opportunity is available for a new or recent graduate veterinarian to join a well-established companion animal practice in the Sunshine Coast region.

The position is to commence in early 2027.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who wants to build confidence, clinical skills and sound judgement in a genuinely supportive environment. You will be joining a large, collaborative team with experienced veterinarians, nurses and support staff who enjoy teaching, mentoring and working together to deliver excellent patient care.

This is a 100% small-animal position with a diverse, engaging caseload that provides broad exposure across all aspects of small-animal practice. Your days will include a mix of consultations, medical workups and surgery, with your clinical exposure paced to suit your confidence and level of experience. There is strong emphasis on learning, with regular case discussions, access to second opinions and the reassurance of always having someone available to ask questions, talk through cases with, or work alongside.

The practice offers an excellent environment for a graduate, with a structured and gradual transition into practice and plenty of support as you develop your skills. You will benefit from strong mentoring from experienced vets, excellent nursing support and the advantage of working within a large team where you are never isolated.

After-hours work (once you feel ready) is shared across the veterinary team, and calls are triaged, helping to manage call volume and ensure you are well supported when rostered on. Graduates are supported appropriately and are never expected to manage cases beyond their level of experience.

Benefits include one week of paid study leave each year, generous CPD support, access to VetEducation, paid veterinary registration, reimbursement of professional memberships and subscriptions aligned with your development plan, an Employee Assistance Program for you and your immediate family, discounts across retail, travel, fitness and health providers, and generous clinic discounts for your own pets.

This role would suit a veterinarian who is a new or recent graduate, has a genuine interest in companion animal medicine and surgery, enjoys being part of a team, and is keen to learn, ask questions and grow in confidence. A commitment to good communication and patient care will be highly valued.

Located in the Sunshine Coast region, this position offers the chance to enjoy the benefits of regional living without feeling remote. With all the essential amenities close by, a welcoming community and easy access to the coast, the area provides a great lifestyle balance for a graduate starting their veterinary career. It is an appealing place to build your skills, enjoy time outside of work and make the most of both country and coastal living.
