JOB NO: 223,267MC1

Vetlink is seeking an experienced Cert IV Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Technician to join a long-established, highly regarded practice. This is a full-time position for a nurse who enjoys being part of a close-knit team where high standards of veterinary care, teamwork and work-life balance are important.

The practice is part of a boutique group of privately owned Brisbane practices, bringing together like-minded veterinarians and nurses who support one another and share a commitment to practising excellent, science-based veterinary medicine. The clinic has a two to three vet team and a loyal clientele who care deeply about their pets, with a strong focus on building long-term relationships and earning clients’ trust.

Recently renovated with a modern boutique feel, the clinic provides an appealing environment for an experienced nurse who enjoys being actively involved across different areas of the practice.

This is a hands-on nursing position with responsibilities spanning both clinical and client-facing duties. The role includes reception work, client education and advice, assisting vets during examinations and surgery, preparing patients for surgery, placing IV catheters, collecting blood, monitoring anaesthesia and providing post-operative care. The nurse will also prepare and administer medications, run in-house pathology and assist with ultrasound and radiography, while helping maintain a high level of organisation and cleanliness throughout the clinic.

The practice is looking for a Cert IV Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Technician with genuine enthusiasm for veterinary nursing and excellent communication and customer service skills. The successful applicant will be comfortable working autonomously, problem solving, multitasking and prioritising throughout the day. Reliability, punctuality and professionalism are important, along with a willingness to continue developing knowledge and skills through competencies and training. A good sense of humour will also fit well with this team.

The practice is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shops, with plenty of convenient options close to work for coffee or lunch. For an experienced veterinary nurse looking to settle into a full-time role, this position combines varied, hands-on nursing with a team that places importance on both high-quality patient care and enjoying the workplace.
