Vetlink is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join an award-winning, well-established practice near the beach in Sydney.
This is a particularly appealing role for a vet looking for genuine flexibility, whether you are seeking part-time hours, returning gradually to clinical practice, balancing work with family or other commitments, or interested in discussing a larger number of hours.
Rather than recruiting for a fixed timetable, the practice is focused on finding the right person for the team. There is flexibility around the hours and days worked, with the practice happy to discuss an arrangement that works well for both the successful veterinarian and the clinic. There are no after-hours, or public holiday shifts, providing further opportunity to maintain a healthy balance outside of work.
You will become part of a close-knit team with strong veterinary and nursing support and a positive, inclusive working environment. The practice has a committed and loyal client base and schedules 30-minute consultations, giving vets time to connect with clients and thoroughly work up their cases. Travelling specialists also provide support with more complex surgeries and case workups, while continuing education is encouraged and supported.
The clinic is well equipped, with digital x-ray, an iM3 dental machine, dental radiography, in-house IDEXX haematology, biochemistry and electrolyte analysis, anaesthetic monitoring equipment, blood pressure and eye pressure measurement, IV pumps and more. Dedicated consultation, hospitalisation and surgical rooms support the team in providing a high standard of patient care.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent and be registered to practise in New South Wales. Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, including accurate medical record keeping and professional client correspondence. The practice is looking for someone who communicates well, builds lasting client relationships and approaches patient care with empathy and professionalism.
