A senior leadership opportunity is available for an experienced equine veterinarian to help shape the future of equine veterinary services across Victoria.
This is a full-time role based in Victoria, with travel required across a network of equine clinics, hospitals and reproduction centres.
Working closely with clinic leaders, veterinarians and equine management, the successful applicant will provide leadership across the Victorian equine businesses, with a focus on clinical excellence, people development, client relationships and service growth.
Key responsibilities include supporting high standards of patient care and clinical practice, mentoring and developing equine veterinarians, encouraging collaboration between teams, and assisting with veterinarian recruitment, retention and succession planning.
The role also involves strengthening relationships with clients, breeders, studs, trainers and referral partners, representing the organisation within the wider equine industry, and identifying opportunities to further develop equine, referral and specialist services.
While primarily a leadership position, there may be opportunities to contribute clinically where appropriate.
This position would suit an experienced and respected equine veterinarian with extensive clinical experience, strong leadership and mentoring skills, and professional credibility within the equine industry. Applicants should also have strong communication and relationship-building skills, commercial awareness and an understanding of veterinary business performance.

The employer is willing to assist with a work visa (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
