Due to continuous growth in referrals, a vacancy has become available for a Weekend Hospital Vet at an established small animal referral practice. This position can be on a casual or permanent part-time basis.

The Hospital Veterinarian will be mainly responsible for facilitating patient discharges (with support from client care, nurse and veterinary intern) along with overseeing hospital in-patients over the weekend. It is anticipated the role will span over both Saturday and Sunday between 8 am and 5 pm.

The ideal applicant:

- Holds a BVSc or equivalent and registration to practice in Australia.

- Minimum of 2 years' experience and a passion to advance your career.

- Can work independently in an after-hours setting. However, you will have access to & support from a specialist team.

- Can multitask and handle a diverse range of cases.

- Is skilled at problem-solving and decision-making.

The team works in a fully equipped 24-hour hospital with a brand new Siemens SOMATOM Scope CT scanner, MyLab Twice ultrasound, radiology, endoscopy, arthroscopy, fully equipped surgical suites, separate dog and cat wards/waiting areas, 24-hour Intensive care and ventilator support and access to an MRI.
