A part-time veterinary receptionist position is available at a boutique, privately owned clinic in Melbourne’s inner eastern suburbs. The role involves working two to three days per week, plus one in four Saturdays. There are no Sundays, public holidays or after-hours shifts.
Applicants must be qualified (Certificate IV in Vet Nursing or equivalent) and have some prior experience working as a veterinary receptionist.
This role would suit someone who is warm, personable and confident in client service. The ideal candidate is a team player who is also able to work independently and multitask in a busy environment. The employer is looking for someone with strong customer service skills and a genuine interest in animal care.
Reception duties include managing phones and bookings, greeting clients and patients, handling payments, assisting with stock control and maintaining a welcoming front-of-house environment. Training will be provided in the clinic’s systems and processes.
Typical reception shift times are either 8 AM – 2 PM or 1 PM – 6 PM. Saturday shifts are from 8 AM – 3 PM.
