A position is available for a veterinary receptionist to join a friendly, family-owned mixed practice in beautiful North West Tasmania. The employers are excited to welcome a new team member as the practice continues to grow.
This role would suit someone with a background in veterinary or medical reception, particularly those with strong triage skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a confident, professional communication style.
The practice currently employs three vets and a fantastic team of enthusiastic, dedicated, and fun-loving nurses. With plans to add a fourth vet to meet increasing demand, they’re now looking for additional support at the front desk.
The clinic is located in a small township close to a larger regional centre. Tasmania offers an outstanding lifestyle and is a wonderful place to raise a family. There’s a wide selection of public and private primary and secondary schools. Melbourne is only an hour’s flight away, with the nearest airport just 15 minutes from the clinic. The practice is warm and supportive, with a close-knit team that values collaboration and continuous learning. The caseload is currently 70% small animal and 30% large animal (mostly dairy). Clinic hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekend work.
